Causes and Activities
Rotary Causes
Rotary engages its members in causes that strengthen international relations, improve lives, and create a better world in support of our peace efforts.
Promoting peace. Rotary initiates conversation to foster mutual understanding despite cultural differences.

Fight against diseases. We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of deadly diseases such as polio, AIDS and malaria.
Drinking water supply, sanitation and hygiene. We support local solutions to supply drinking water and provide access to sanitation and hygiene to as many people as possible.
Health of mothers and children. We improve access to quality care so that mothers and their children can lead fulfilling lives.
Education. More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our objective is to strengthen education and increase the school enrollment rate of girls and adult literacy.
Development of local economies. Our actions improve economic and local development, and generate decent and productive jobs.
Environmental Protection. We tackle environmental issues through actions and our network in order to evolve policies and prepare for the future.
Specific Activities of our club
"Truffes en Fete" (A Celebration of the Périgord Truffle) : the last Saturday in January - fight against cancer, in support of Bergonié Institute.

October Rose : (All in Pink) fight against breast cancer, in support of the Bergonié Institute.

Movember : fight against prostate cancer, in support of the Bergonié Institute.

Espoir en Tête (Hope through Brain Research) : research on brain diseases, in support of the national fund-raising effort.

World Bee Day : educational environmental action and local aid.

Flea market : local help.

Wine tasting : local help.

Trade prizes : local help.

Food Bank : national collection.

SAFM (Solidarity and Friendship France Madagascar) :support forSAFM for the construction
of a medical socio-educational center with school canteen in the village of Tanambao, Madagascar.

Pineapple from the Heart : financing the creation of wells for fresh water in Africa.
​
Youth action : scholarships and exchanges between French and foreign high school students.
​
International relief : support for families displaced by war or disaster in Haiti, Ukraine, Lebanon.
